Peramo Lending Services Corporation values the privacy of Peramo users and any person who shall use, access, download, browse, or register with Peramo services on its application, on Peramo website, and other related digital media including social media. 

Peramo is a mobile application software ("App") that can be downloaded to your mobile phone or any handheld device (Device) on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store ("App"). This policy summarizes what personal information we may collect, how we use this set of information, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your privacy and data protection rights. It is Peramo's policy to comply with all applicable Philippine privacy and data protection laws. This commitment reflects our value in earning and keeping the trust of our clients, business development stakeholders or partners, and others who share personal information with us. This Policy applies to all Internet sites and mobile applications operated by or on behalf of Peramo, including other global entities affiliated with Peramo. 

 

It also applies to personal information that Peramo may collect in other ways: 

(i) through our products and services; 

(ii) when you interact with us by means other than the Peramo website or application, that is, in person, over the phone or through other means of telecommunications; and 

(iii) from our employees, collectors, third-party investigators and other business partners (collectively referred to as "Business Partners").

 

To the extent required by applicable law, whenever Peramo collects personal information, Peramo will:

• Provide timely and appropriate notice to you about our data practices;

• Collect your personal information only for specified and legitimate purposes;

• The information we collect will be relevant, adequate and not excessive for the purposes for which it is collected;

• Process your personal information in a manner consistent with the purposes for which it was originally collected or to which you have subsequently consented;

• Take commercially reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is reliable for its intended use, accurate, complete, and, where necessary, kept up-to-date;

• Not use your personal information for direct marketing purposes without giving you an opportunity to “opt-out”; and

• Take appropriate measures, by contract or otherwise, to provide adequate protection for personal information that is disclosed to a third party or transferred to another country, including transfers within Peramo.

 

This Policy Policy constitutes an inseparable part of Peramo Credit Agreement.



Personal Information that Peramo Collects

Peramo collects the following types of personal information:

(i) Contact information such as your name, company name, job title, address, e-mail address, and phone number; 

 

(ii) Additional information about you to help us get to know you better such as your gender, age, date of birth, nationality, professional associations and registration number, information about how you use our products, and demographic information;

 

(iii) Financial information needed to process loans and payments, such as credit card or account information, or other banking information; 

 

(iv) Log-in information, including the following:

  • if applicable, social media account information for login purposes 

  • if applicable, information about your preferences, such as your preferred methods of communication and product types in which you are interested; 

 

(v) Your selected phone contacts in your device needed for collection purposes will be requested to be manually selected and marked as your back-up and emergency contacts, if in case the information provided in the credit agreement is false, invalid, or otherwise not responsive to our collection attempts; and 

 

(vi) Number of contacts in your device will be used for credit evaluation purposes only and

 

(vii) Comments, questions, requests, and orders you may make.

 

It is understood that when you have submitted your information to Peramo, you are expressly consenting to the collection and processing of such information for whichever purpose it may serve under the Agreement.



Information Automatically Gathered from Your Device

 

Device information

Peramo may collect technical information about your device, such as device type, browser type, IP address, operating system, and device identifier. Peramo will automatically collect this information from your device and web browser through cookies and similar technologies subject to your consent.

 

Information about how you interact with us

Peramo may collect technical data about your usage of the Peramo application and how you interact with our digital advertising and promotional activities. Peramo uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information subject to your consent.

 

Location information

Peramo may collect location information, including precise real-time location information from your device and inaccurate location information such as your IP address. 

Peramo App will not access accurate real-time location information from your device unless you grant permission to do so. Peramo’s access to location is for the protection of Peramo, since our services are only rendered for those who are located in the Philippines. Peramo's location access is limited for the purpose of granting loan applications and other allied services, if applicable.

 

Information from Business Partners and other Third Parties

Peramo may collect personal information through our Business Partners. This information may include contact information such as name, company name, job title, address, email address, and phone number for verification and validation purposes.

 

Peramo may also obtain personal information from other third-party sources, including public and commercially available sources. As mentioned above, we may combine the information we receive from Business Partners and other third-party sources with the information we collect from you or your device.



Peramo’s Usage of Personal Information 

Develop and manage our relationships with you and our Business Partners. This may include:

(i) Delivering services or carrying out transactions that you or our Business Partners have requested; 

(ii) Providing information about Peramo products, services, transactions, and advertisements, that may be of interest to you; 

(iii) Providing you and our Business Partners a more consistent experience in interacting with Peramo, including by learning more about you and how you use and interact with Peramo Internet Sites, Apps, products, and services; and 

(iv) Planning, managing, and performing under our contractual relationships with our Business Partners.

 

Communicate with you

(i) Informing you of Peramo products, services, and promotional activities that may be of interest to you; 

(ii) Providing information about relevant Peramo products, services, and transactions, including, for example, pricing, information about product or service improvements; 

(iii) Responding to questions or inquiries that you make, including customer service requests; and

(iv) Inviting you to participate in, or informing you of the results of, customer satisfaction or market research surveys.

 

Provide and improve our Internet Sites, Apps, products, and services: 

(i) Customizing them to your preferences or interests, making them more compatible with your technology, or otherwise making them easier to use; 

(ii) Maintaining the security of and otherwise protecting them; and

(iii) Developing new Peramo Internet Sites, Apps, products and services.

 

Address legal issues

(i) Complying with our obligations to retain certain business records for minimum retention periods; 

(ii) Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims; 

(iii) Complying with laws, regulations, court orders, or other legal processes; 

(iv) Detecting, preventing and responding to fraud, intellectual property infringement, violation of our contracts or agreements, violations of law, or other misuses of Peramo Internet Sites, Apps, products or services; and 

(v) Protecting Peramo’s rights or property, or yours or others’ health, safety, welfare, rights, or property.

 

Peramo may also use your personal information for other purposes consistent with the context in which the information was collected or with your consent. Peramo may anonymize or aggregate any of the information we collect and use it for any purpose, including for research and product-development purposes. Such information will not identify you individually.



Peramo will not disclose your personal information except as described here:

Peramo may share your personal information with third parties hired by us to perform support services for us, such as but not limited to collection services, background investigation, and skip tracking among others. 

These third parties are required to use the personal information we share with them, only to perform services on our behalf, and to treat your personal information in compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws. 

In some cases, Peramo may share your personal information with third parties who partner with us to provide products and services to our customers. If so, we will require our Business Partners to use that information in a manner that complies with this policy, any applicable 

Specific Privacy Statements, and all applicable privacy and data protection laws. 

 

Peramo may share your personal information with third parties when we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary:

(i) To comply with a law, regulation, court order, or other legal processes;

(ii) To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, intellectual property infringement, violation of our contracts or agreements, violation of law, or other misuses of Peramo Internet Sites, Apps, products or services; 

(iii) To protect Peramo rights or property or yours or others’ health, safety, welfare, rights, or property; or 

(iv) Under similar circumstances. If such an event occurs, we will take appropriate steps to protect your personal information. 

 

Peramo may share your personal information with third parties related to the sale, purchase, merger, reorganization, liquidation or dissolution of Peramo or Peramo's business units, or under similar circumstances. If such incidents occur, we will take appropriate measures to protect your personal information. Peramo may share your information with your permission or at your request. Peramo may share anonymized or aggregated information internally and with third parties for any purpose. Such information will not identify you personally.

 

The Applicant agrees that Peramo, directly or through its Partners, may collect, retrieve, process, use and store his/her personal data such as name, age, photographs, fingerprints, other biometric data (e.g., facial recognition and voice recognition), mobile number/s, mobile phone usage data, employment details, income, financial data, financial profile, credit standing, loan payment history, and other information required in the application form for the purpose of reviewing and processing the Applicant’s loan application. The Applicant consents to the collection of his/her personal data from the Applicant her/himself, or from other personal information controllers such as, but not limited to, telecommunications companies, for credit scoring purposes. The Applicant’s personal data such as mobile number, email address, and address, will be shared to a credit scoring service provider for credit investigation, credit scoring, data analytics, and data profiling, which includes the regular updating of the Applicant’s credit score. The personal data secured may also be used for direct marketing of products and services of Partners

 

Throughout the processing of the Applicant’s personal data, his/her rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, such as the (1) right to be informed, (2) right to object, (3) right to access, (4) right to rectification, (5) right to erasure or blocking, and (6) right to damages, shall be upheld. Entities to whom we share your data will also respect the same rights.

 

Security Safeguards

Your personal information will generally be stored in the Peramo database maintained by our service provider. Many of these databases are stored on servers located in the Philippines. Peramo takes appropriate measures through contracts or other means to provide adequate protection for personal information disclosed to third parties or transferred to another country/region, including transfers within Peramo. Peramo maintains reasonable safeguards to protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of your personal information. Although we use security measures to help protect your personal information against unauthorized disclosure, misuse, or alteration, just like all computer networks connected to the Internet, we cannot guarantee the security of information provided over the Internet and will not be responsible for breaches of security beyond our reasonable control. 

Peramo shall not be held accountable or legally liable for any data leakage, abuse, disclosure or illegal sharing caused by its users' faults in protecting and securing their username and password or some other form of negligence.



Right as a data subject

You can contact our Data Privacy Officer at privacy@peramo.ph to exercise your rights as a data subject. The following are your rights:

 

Right to be informed

You should be informed of Peramo’s process in collecting, usage, sharing and gathering of your information and your rights as a data subject.

 

Right to access

A copy of your personal data may be requested and how your data are being processed unless gathering this information may affect the rights and freedoms of others or applicable law requires that we do not adhere to your request.

 

Right to rectification

A request to correct information which you believe is inaccurate can be done. An update of this request shall be sent to you if proper actions have been executed. Regarding this request, we will require you to submit supporting documents or details to show authenticity of the said changes.

 

Right to erasure or blocking

Personal data can be asked to be erased if you think that this information is no longer of use for our company; if you doubt our processors of your data; if these data of yours are being used unlawfully and/or certain laws require you to do so.

 

Right to data portability

You as a client should have the right to know the movement, copy or transfer of your data with proper security features.

 

Right to damages

As a data subject, if anything has happened to you regarding data privacy you have the right to collect proper compensation regarding the damages that you suffered or if there is any violation of your rights and freedom.

 

Right to file a complaint

If there is any damage or violation of your rights and freedom regarding data privacy, you have the right to file a complaint to the National Privacy Commission.



Information Storage

Information from your device will be stored or retained by Peramo for as long as the purpose is listed in our Privacy Policy. 

Following purposes are:

(i) If the information is necessary to comply with any legal obligation;

(ii) If authorized by law; and

(iii) For the company’s legal defenses.

 

If information is no longer needed, the collected data shall be deleted or anonymized except as necessary to comply with legal obligations.

Changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on the Peramo website and app, along with information about any major changes.
